Privacy Policy — Pause Moment

Summary

Pause Moment is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not run a server, we do not have user accounts, and we do not collect analytics about how you use the app. The few things that do leave your device are listed below in plain language.

What stays on your device

All of the following is stored only on your phone and is never sent anywhere:

• Your personal messages, words, and reminders
• Photos you take or pick for your pause overlay
• Your pause history and statistics
• Your Safe People (name and phone number only — pulled from your contacts when you add them)
• Your schedule, settings, and preferences

If you uninstall Pause Moment, this data is deleted with the app.

What leaves your device, and when

1. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics, by Google) If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix bugs. These reports contain technical information about the crash (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version). They do not contain your messages, photos, schedules, contacts, or any content you created in the app. Crash reporting is disabled in development builds.

2. Feedback you choose to send If you tap “Send feedback” inside the app and write a message, that message is delivered to the developer over the internet. Nothing is sent unless you write something and tap send.

3. Purchases (Google Play Billing) If you buy anything in the app, the transaction is handled by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details — Google does. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made.

That’s the complete list. There is no other network activity.

Permissions and why they are used

• Camera — only when you choose to take a photo for your pause overlay. Photos stay on your device.
• Contacts — only to let you pick Safe People who appear on your pause screen. Only the names and numbers you pick are saved; the rest of your contact list is never read or stored.
• Notifications — to deliver your scheduled pauses.
• Exact alarms / wake lock / boot completed — so your pauses fire at the exact time you set, even after a restart.
• Battery optimization exemption — so the system does not delay or drop your scheduled pauses.
• Display over other apps (overlay) / foreground service — so the pause screen can appear on top of whatever you are doing.
• Phone state — so the overlay steps aside if a call comes in. We do not read your call log or phone number.
• Do Not Disturb access — so your pause alarms can play even when DND is on.
• Vibration — for haptic feedback during the pause overlay.
• Internet / network state — used only for the three things listed in the section above (crash reports, feedback you send, and Google Play purchases).

No ads, no tracking, no profiles

Pause Moment contains no advertisements, no analytics SDKs, no marketing trackers, and no user accounts. We do not build a profile of you and we have nothing to sell.

Children

Pause Moment is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will change and the new version will replace this page.
